Bespoke Staircase Joinery
A staircase is the one piece of joinery everybody walks past several times a day, which is why a dated one drags down an otherwise finished house. Kraft Interiors designs, manufactures and installs bespoke staircases and staircase renovations from Stoke-on-Trent, delivering to homes and commercial buildings across the UK.
New builds and renovations
A full replacement lets us reconsider the whole flight: rise and going, headroom, winders, landing position and how the stair meets the hall. We manufacture to your measured dimensions and to current building regulations, then install and finish on site.
Where the structure is sound, a renovation is often the better value route. We overlay treads and risers, replace strings, spindles, newels and handrails, and can convert a closed flight to an open one, usually with far less disruption than a full rebuild.
Materials and detailing
Oak, ash, walnut, painted poplar and engineered timber are all in regular use, paired with toughened glass panels, brushed steel or stainless spindles, and metal or timber handrails. Under-stair joinery, drawers, pull-outs, a cloakroom or a hidden study, is designed into the same project.
Feature lighting recessed into strings or risers is fitted at the same time, so wiring is buried rather than surface-run after the event.
Why Kraft Interiors
Staircases are unforgiving work: every tread has to be right, every joint visible, every fixing hidden. Our joiners come from a commercial fit-out background where that level of accuracy is the baseline, and the same tolerances apply in a private house.
We survey, template, manufacture and install ourselves, and we make good the surrounding plaster and decoration so the finished flight sits properly into the hall rather than looking bolted in.
